The National Sports Collectors Convention (NSCC) is gearing up for a spectacular charity auction at their 44th annual event in 2024. This special auction aims to support three Cleveland area charities by offering a selection of 44 exclusive items, including valuable sports memorabilia and artworks by renowned artists.

The charity auction, hosted by Pristine Auction, is set to take place from July 20 to July 27, 2024. Bidders can participate in the auction online through a dedicated link and will also have the opportunity to view select items in person at the convention.

The auction features a diverse range of high-end items, with two standout pieces being original paintings by prominent sports artists, each valued between $10,000 to $15,000. Among the highlights are a LeBron James portrait, a Mickey Mantle signed baseball, vintage sports cards, signed jerseys, and exclusive lithographs.

Some noteworthy items up for auction include a 1965 Topps Namath Rookie SGC 5 card, Taylor Swift and Bon Jovi signed framed memorabilia, and a Babe Ruth PSA 5 card from 1948 Leaf. Fans can also bid on sports collectibles signed by legends such as Hank Aaron, Ken Griffey Jr., and Usain Bolt, along with unique pieces like a Tyson Fury signed glove and a William Shatner autographed card.

The auction isn’t just about scoring rare sports items; it’s also about giving back to the community. The NSCC has chosen to support three local charities in Cleveland through this event. The selected charities include the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, Inc. and The City Mission, both of which are dedicated to combating hunger and homelessness in the area.

The Greater Cleveland Food Bank is focused on providing nutritious food to those in need and offering resources to empower individuals facing food insecurity. Meanwhile, The City Mission works to help individuals and families overcome homelessness by providing comprehensive programs aimed at building stable futures.

By participating in the NSCC Charity Auction, sports collectors and enthusiasts can make a tangible impact on the lives of those in need while indulging their passion for sports memorabilia. It’s a unique opportunity to support meaningful causes and contribute to the community while celebrating the love for sports collecting.

The NSCC expresses gratitude for the generous support of the bidders and attendees who will help make a difference through this charitable initiative. Join the 2024 National Sports Collectors Convention, be part of something greater, and show that sports collecting is not just about the items but also about making a positive impact on society.
