Upon presenting the cards, Zahajko swiftly discerned their significance. He highlighted three noteworthy items from the collection:

– Graded 6 out of 10, this well-preserved card was valued between $2,000 and $4,000.
2. 1954 Ted Williams Card by Wilson Franks
– Despite minor staining on the back, this card commanded an impressive appraisal of $2,000 to $4,000.
3. 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle Rookie Card
– Although the most worn of the trio, the Mickey Mantle rookie card is a coveted piece for any collector. Bidding typically starts at $5,000 for such a rare card, with a final value estimated between $30,000 and $40,000. “That’s the holy grail of Topps rookie cards,” Zahajko remarked.
Overwhelmed by the appraisal, the woman exclaimed in disbelief, “You’re kidding! Seriously! Oh my God. He’s [my husband] going to be so happy with that.”
